About Bono Neural Systems LLC
Bono Neural Systems LLC is a neural engineering company developing software infrastructure for personalized neurotechnology. Our work focuses on architectures that connect neural recordings, neuroimaging, spatial and contextual information to support brain-computer interfaces and individualized neural models. We are currently developing two research-stage platforms: BNS cNDT and BNS Atlas. Patent applications covering aspects of both platforms are pending.
BNS cNDT, our Cognitive Neural Digital Twin platform, focuses on individualized cognitive and neural modeling. It integrates neuroimaging, electrophysiological recordings, and structured autobiographical and contextual information into an evolving model that distinguishes direct observations from AI-assisted inference. As the model develops, cNDT could support applications in brain-computer interfaces, personalized neuromodulation, and treatment response modeling. Longer term, the same architecture could also contribute to digital legacy. BNS Atlas generates spatial priors grounded in imaging and tailored to each patient. These priors can inform BCI decoding without requiring changes to an existing neural decoder. Atlas combines neuroimaging and functional evidence with spatial information and, where applicable, electrode or sensor geometry to provide channel guidance, confidence scores, routing status, and fallback behavior. When guidance is not sufficiently supported, Atlas is designed to defer or fall back rather than constrain the workflow.
BNS cNDT & Personalized Neural Infrastructure
Individualized Neural Modeling
BNS cNDT brings together neuroimaging, electrophysiological, autobiographical, and contextual evidence within a common subject-specific representation, allowing biological measurements to be interpreted alongside an individual’s personal history and lived experience. This creates a multimodal framework for modeling the person rather than relying on any single source of information.
Decoder Independent Spatial Guidance
BNS Atlas generates patient-specific spatial priors, channel guidance, confidence scores, and routing status for existing neural decoders. Before guidance influences routing, Atlas evaluates anatomical credibility, coordinate integrity, registration quality, and coverage. When support is insufficient, it returns neutral instructions or falls back to the full array without altering the decoder.
Longitudinal Subject State
BNS cNDT is designed to maintain a longitudinal, subject-specific model for tracking changes in neural organization, interface stability where applicable, and therapeutic response over time. Prior states and provenance are preserved as new observations are incorporated, so changes in the model can be traced from one state to the next.
